Rohit Malhotra, a nationally-recognized civic leader raised in Atlanta, has qualified to run as a Democrat in the special election for Fulton County Commissioner in District 4, representing Atlanta, East Point, Hapeville, and College Park.

This race comes on the heels of a raid on Fulton County’s elections offices and a recent decision to dismantle the historic Voting Rights Act. Locally, Fulton County plays a central role in administering and protecting our local democracy, making the role of county commissioner incredibly important in a moment like now.

Rohit’s campaign is focused on ensuring the county government is prepared to meet its responsibilities around protecting elections, strengthening public systems, and ensuring social and fiscal accountability.
